Hitesh began his career as an Electronics Design Engineer before extending his experience into railway signalling design, systems engineering, requirements, integration, safety assurance and project management.  Hitesh has experience auditing a RTO against AS4292 Railway Safety Management and is well versed in AS15288 and EN50126/8/9.  He has authored Rail Accreditation Strategy, System Safety Assurance Plans and Safety Assurance Reports with the aim of the meeting Rail Safety National Law requirements for various duty holders.

He has worked in both project management and design management roles specific to signalling, telecommunications, onboard, and level crossing works at various stages of the project life-cycle.  Example projects include: ‘High Capacity Melbourne Trains’, ‘WESTECT ATP Upgrade’, ‘Moreton Bay Rail Link’, ‘TfNSW Automatic Train Protection’, ‘Roy Hill Signalling and Communications’ and the Federal Level Crossing Upgrade Program.  He has been responsible for successfully establishing and analysing requirements, leading feasibility and concept studies, interface management, and managing all aspects of design, construction, assurance and testing activities.

In addition to his excellent, directly relevant project management and technical background developed working in Australia and the United Kingdom, Hitesh also offers a strong appreciation of Systems Engineering and the product lifecycle.  He has experience in developing industrial applications and understands the importance systematic analysis of customer requirements and the conversion of these into systems and subsystems including their Integration, Engineering and Safety Assurance to successful project outcomes.  Having worked in consultancy, contractor, alliance and client organisations, as well as fully understanding technical issues and managing design activities, he has a good understanding of commercial / contractual and stakeholder issues also impacting on projects and the importance of their effective management.
