The HKRP Code of Conduct is based on our Mission Statement that ‘We help clients define and deliver projects in complex environments’ and focuses on our Core Values that help foster engaging relationships and a positive working environment.
Our Core Values reflect what we consider to be important and can be thought of as principles which the Company and individuals can live by, and which should influence our decisions and ways of working.
INTEGRITY: We give you the right advice, even if it is not what it was expected to be;
PROFESSIONAL: We understand and manage your complexity, so you do not have to;
RESPONSIVE: We are quick to respond to your needs, knowing that delays compound the problems you need us to solve; and
ENGAGED: We are focused on you, solving complexity is not a part time job.
The purpose of the policy is to reinforce the core values that set the standard for how we work and what we do and provides guidance for everyone who works with HKRP. We believe this policy guides the decisions we make and the actions we take on a daily basis.
This Code of Conduct represents our commitment to uphold ethical business practices and meet or exceed applicable legal requirements. In addition, this Code of Conduct is supported by HKRP’s detailed policies and guidelines and consistent application of these documents will ensure equitable treatment.
This Code of Conduct Policy Statement applies to each person who works for or with HKRP, including all employees and contractors engaged in work for HKRP and it is expected that all adhere to the following:
- Treat each other, the community and all external parties with respect, courtesy and fairness;
- Understand and meet all requirements within the Code of Conduct as well as the policies and guidelines that apply to their work;
- Raise all questions and concerns, and never demonstrate retaliation for someone raising a concern;
- Never ignore a potential breach of the Code and to speak up accordingly;
- Follow all health and safety requirements, relevant Government Regulations and Legislation and appropriate professional standards; and
- Not act in a manner that is designed to gain unfair advantage for themselves or for other individuals family, friends or business acquaintances.
All HKRP team members have a responsibility to uphold the high standards of business conduct that we can all be proud of. HKRP team members have an obligation to comply with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Company, together with contractual obligations which bind the Company (including but not limited to commercial or confidentiality terms). Policies are reviewed and updated from time to time. Policies are developed on the principles of our Core Values and in line with this Code and support the Company’s legal obligations.
HKRP Conflict of Interest Policy
We display integrity by reporting any actual or potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest arises when your personal interests interfere with your HKRP role or ability to make objective decisions on behalf of the Company. It also applies to the use of your position, or company assets being used for personal advantage, or the advantage of others.
HKRP Domestic and Family Violence Policy
HKRP is strongly committed to providing a healthy and safe working environment for all employees. It is recognised employees sometimes face difficult situations in their work and personal life, such as domestic and family violence (DFV), that may affect their attendance, performance at work or safety.
HKRP Drugs and Alcohol Policy
HKRP is committed to promoting a safe and healthy environment for all employees, contractors and visitors, and to taking early action to respond to situations where the use of alcohol or drugs may risk health and/or safety.
HKRP Environmental Policy
It is essential that all parties concerned, either within or outside HKRP, combine their efforts to both recognise and reduce the impact our operations have on the environment. HKRP works to identify and use the most practical and sustainable methods of environmental management to minimise and mitigate the impacts of our activities on the environment and the community.

HKRP is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace environment for all workers (including contractors and volunteers) and at times that may mean that workers are able to work from home (WFH) instead of a HKRP or customer site.
