HKRP completed several major activities during this engagement with Aurizon.
We defined a Concept of Operations (CoO) from the existing business model and documentation.
We then developed a Business Requirements Specification outline based on the CoO needs by analysing a range of operating concepts and scenarios.
The HKRP team worked closely to translate the needs and concerns of all stakeholders into a Stakeholder Requirements Specification, so these were clarified to all divisions.
A similar system was created for all primary projects on the Goonyella Signalling System.
The beneficial outcomes for Aurizon delivered through this engagement included clear stakeholder requirements enabling development of a solution that met the expectations of Aurizon's stakeholder's mandatory system essentials. This led to a fit-for-purpose solution that achieved business and stakeholder provision from technical, operational and safety perspectives.
These well-defined necessities lead to more effective contracts and successful project outcomes, fewer variations and containment of time and cost valuations to maintain budgeting expectations.
HKRP have also developed an information model framework that encompasses the Business Objectives, Concept of Operations, Maintenance, Construction and Procurement.
